Cookie policy

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. The same term is used here to cover other storage technologies with an equivalent effect, such as the browser's local storage.

They are used to remember information between visits — a preference you have already expressed, for example — and, in the case of third-party cookies, they may allow those third parties to recognize your browser.

2. What we use on opticron.io

This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We do not measure your browsing and we do not build profiles.

2.1. Our own technical storage

NameTypePurposeDuration
opticron_cookie_consent Local storage, first-party Remember whether you accepted or rejected third-party cookies, so that we do not ask you again on every visit 12 months

This item is strictly necessary in order to respect your decision, and is therefore exempt from the prior consent requirement. It only stores your choice: it contains no information that could identify you.

2.2. Third-party cookies: Cal.com

The contact section embeds a booking calendar provided by Cal.com, Inc. (United States). When loaded, this component may install cookies and use storage belonging to Cal.com, necessary for the calendar to work and for the booking to be managed.

The calendar does not load until you accept it. Until you give your consent, no connection is made to Cal.com servers from this site and no third-party cookie is installed.

If you prefer not to accept them, you can still book by opening the calendar directly at cal.com, in which case the relationship is established between you and Cal.com under that platform's policies.

You can find the details in the Cal.com privacy policy.

3. Legal basis

Cookies and technologies that are not strictly necessary are installed only with your prior consent, given freely, specifically, on an informed basis and unambiguously through the notice shown when you access the site.

Rejecting them does not limit access to any content: the only consequence is that the calendar is not shown embedded and you need to open it in a separate window.

4. How to manage or withdraw your consent

Instructions for the most widely used browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

5. Changes to this policy

If we add new tools that use cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent again where the law requires it. The date of the last revision is shown at the top of the document.

6. More information

The processing of personal data arising from the use of this site is described in the legal notice and privacy policy. For any question: info@opticron.io.
